Dubai Customs shares best practices and latest technologies with Singaporean entrepreneurs
Dubai Customs has received a host of entrepreneurs from the Republic of Singapore, who were looking to get firsthand information on latest technologies applied by Dubai Customs to streamline legitimate trade and expedite customs formalities.
The meeting was coordinated jointly with Dubai University, as part of the training scheme it offers to the Singaporean entrepreneurs.
The Republic of Singapore is one of the key trading partners with Dubai in the Asian continent. Dubais trading volume with Singapore in the first half of 2015 mounted to AED 7.5 billion, with AED 3.6 billion in imports, AED 2.2 billion in exports and AED 1.7 billion in re-exports, said the Executive Director of HR, Finance and Administration Division at Dubai Customs Buti Al Jumairi.
Edris Behzad, Director of Client Management, addressed the visitors and stressed on Dubai Customs strive to adopt positive initiatives and ideas for customer service, such as the Client Service Charter, Tarjim service, Complaint Management, Unified Suggestion Scheme, Client Accreditation program, Irtibat and Dubai Customs Consultative Council.
The Manager of Solution Delivery at Dubai Customs Bader Al Kharoosi showcased Dubai Customs latest technologies and smart services, which are delivered to clients through multiple channels, including the DC portal, Dubai Trade, B2G, smartphones, smart watches and smart TV.
The Singaporean visitors watched a short film on Dubai Customs fully-integrated clearance system Mirsal2 and another on the mechanism of its Risk Engine. Moreover, a video on Dubai Customs IPR protection measures was played, depicting one of the IPR infringement seizures carried out by Dubai Customs and the annual IP Award for Schools and Universities.
In recognition of Dubai Customs commitment to spreading knowledge and sharing expertise, Dubai University officials presented a trophy to DC officials.
