Dubai Culture concludes workshop series
The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's dedicated Authority for heritage and culture, organised an informative workshop series for all employees to highlight its new HR Self-Service Gate, which is in line with Dubai Cultures efforts to ensure the comfort and well-being of its staff.
The HR Self-Service Gate complements the goals of Dubai Plan 2021 aimed at strengthening Dubai's position as a city of happy, creative and empowered people.
A leading Dubai government initiative, the region's first-of-its-kind HR Self-Service Gate was launched by Dubai Culture in collaboration with Dubai Smart Government and was promoted among its different departments and sections through the workshop.
The HR Self-Service Gate is an interactive application launched as part of the second phase of Tasaheel self-service platform that is dedicated to strengthening human resources services, and is being integrated with National Identity card issued by the Emirates Identity Authority.
The Gate offers real-time access to important information, allowing users to avail of several easy and streamlined features such as applying for routine and administrative applications, reviewing government departments and offices to obtain To Whom It May Concern letters, enquiring about leave balance and previous leave requests, as well as for submitting leave requests. It has the ability to scan documents and printing important details in a short time.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Khalid Al Doobi, Director of HR Department at the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, said: "Dubai Culture is keen to enrich its corporate initiatives aimed at achieving our ambitious goals by organising guidance sessions for all employees, and holding regular meetings and workshops to promote their awareness of our overall HR objectives, strategies and their implementation.
"Since the launch of HR Self-Service Gate, we organised a workshop series for staff to understand the importance of the initiative in upgrading the efficiency of operations across Dubai Culture by saving the time and effort for all employees. This supports our tireless efforts to enhance our ranking in the Happiness Index among our staff. This unique initiative comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and in line with Dubai Culture's unwavering efforts to supporting Dubai Smart Government, he added.
Dubai Culture focuses on developing several new smart initiatives in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, and Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
These efforts support the Emirate's smart transformation, and are in line with Dubai Culture's participation in the "City Makers Competition", announced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, in order to design innovative and unique government services for all segments of the society and enhance their happiness levels.
