Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has been awarded the prestigious ISO 42001:2023 certification for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, marking a significant milestone in AI governance and responsible implementation. This achievement positions Dubai Culture as the first government entity in Dubai and the only cultural and arts institution globally to receive this recognition through LRQA.

The certification underscores Dubai Culture’s commitment to upholding international standards in AI management, aligning with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031. This strategy aims to harness AI to enhance government performance, optimize data analysis, and foster innovative work environments.

Commitment to AI Excellence

Dubai Culture secured this certification by demonstrating strict adherence to UAE laws and regulations governing AI Management Systems. This includes compliance with the Dubai AI Security Policy, issued by the Dubai Electronic Security Centre, as well as relevant cybersecurity and AI strategies at the national level. The Authority has invested in the necessary human, technological, financial, and logistical resources to operate and enhance AI-driven initiatives effectively.

As part of its AI governance framework, Dubai Culture has established clear objectives for managing AI technologies, ensuring their continuous alignment with government directives. The Authority has also prioritized skill development and awareness among its teams, enabling the safe and efficient utilization of AI applications.
