Dubai Chamber of Commerce Reports 11.3% Growth in Document Attestation Transactions for 2024
Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has announced a significant 11.3% year-on-year increase in document attestation transactions for 2024. The chamber successfully attested 23,752 documents through its fully digital service, reflecting its commitment to efficiency and streamlined business processes.
The chamber provides three main attestation sub-services: Verify Signature, True Copy, and Authentication, covering 64 categories of documents. Among these, Verify Signature transactions accounted for 21,716 attestations, marking a 13.9% increase from the previous year. Additionally, 1,835 True Copy attestations and 201 Authentication Certificate transactions were processed during the year.
Khalid AlJarwan, Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, highlighted the chamber’s dedication to supporting the business community through innovative and efficient services. He stated: “We are committed to providing comprehensive services that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the private sector. Our fully digital attestation service enhances the credibility and trustworthiness of business documents while ensuring seamless processing.”
The most frequently requested attestation service in 2024 was the issuance of ‘To Whom It May Concern’ letters, followed by auditors’ reports, certificates, and invoices. Other high-demand services included agreements, authorisation letters, agency contracts, certified true copies of documents, licences, and power of attorney documents.
Agency contracts recorded the highest growth rate among the top ten attestation services, witnessing a 43% increase in transactions compared to the previous year. ‘To Whom It May Concern’ letters also saw a notable 9% rise in demand.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce continues to enhance its digital services, ensuring seamless business operations by facilitating the acceptance of official documents by relevant authorities. The fully automated attestation process, requiring only one working hour for completion, is among the fastest in the industry, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global business hub.
