DGHR Partners with MBRF and UNDP to Enhance Dubai Government Employees' Future-Readiness

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has joined forces with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to bolster the ‘FutureSkills4All’ initiative. This strategic partnership, which includes collaboration with the educational platform Coursera, is aimed at equipping Dubai Government employees with the essential skills needed to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and digital work environment.

His Excellency Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of DGHR, emphasized the department’s dedication to empowering Dubai’s workforce. He noted that this partnership is crucial in providing government employees with access to world-class training programs, which are essential for fostering innovative talents and supporting Dubai’s broader vision for sustainable development. "By collaborating with MBRF and UNDP, we can offer advanced educational programs and innovative training methods that enhance the future readiness of our human resources, enabling them to navigate the rapid changes in today’s work environments," said H.E. Al Falasi.

Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of this collaboration in enhancing the skills and competencies of Dubai Government employees. "This initiative is vital for preparing our workforce to meet the ever-evolving demands of the labor market. By offering exceptional educational and training opportunities in partnership with leading global organizations, we are strengthening the UAE's position as a global hub of knowledge," bin Huwaireb stated.

Dr. Hany Torky, Project Manager of UNDP's Knowledge Project, also underscored the significance of this initiative. "Our goal is to ensure that Dubai Government employees can benefit from the high-quality courses provided through this pioneering program. We aim to make learning and training universally accessible, empowering employees to advance their careers and contribute to a brighter future," he remarked.

The ‘FutureSkills4All’ initiative offers an extensive range of free and exclusive educational materials, courses, and training programs from globally recognized corporations such as Google, Meta, and IBM. These resources are designed to cater to a wide audience, including recent graduates, job seekers, and experienced professionals looking to enhance their digital expertise and remain competitive in the evolving job market.

Courses offered through the initiative cover a broad spectrum of skills, from personal development and essential digital skills to advanced technical skills in areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, data science, and financial technology. The initiative also includes practical skills training in customer service, project management, marketing, and sales.

The collaboration between DGHR, MBRF, and UNDP marks a significant step towards fostering knowledge excellence and preparing Dubai Government employees for the future. By equipping the workforce with cutting-edge skills, this initiative not only supports individual career growth but also contributes to the sustainable development and innovative progress of the UAE.
