DEWA organises charitable activities during Ramadan
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is marking the Holy Month of Ramadan with a number of charitable activities. DEWAs annual activities support its corporate social responsibility and its commitment to promoting social cohesion among its staff in a multi-national environment.
DEWA inaugurated its activities by serving a daily Iftar for its staff who are working during Maghreb prayers at all its locations. These include power stations and water desalination plants in Jebel Ali and Warsan, and its emergency and customer care centres across Dubai.
DEWA has built a Ramadan tent in the courtyard of its head office for its staff whose shifts coincide with Iftar, and also serves the public from all nationalities during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
During the Holy Month, DEWA promotes compassion, kindness and sympathy among all staff by organising Islamic, cultural, and social activities that reinforce tolerance and strengthen social ties. Deepening cooperation and team spirit among employees of all religions and nationalities is at the forefront of our ethos. This reflects positively on improving our achievements and job satisfaction, said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
DEWA takes care of its staff by creating a suitable work environment that reflects positively on productivity. As part of its corporate social responsibility, DEWA promotes the principles of social cohesion, and maintains good relations with staff to encourage cooperation among them, added Al Tayer.
DEWA provides Iftar meals every day for 2,200 fasting employees at different locations, including DEWAs main office in Zabeel East and Jebel Alis power and water desalination plants.
