Crown Prince of Ajman Visits Woven Treasures Museum, Showcasing Dh1 Billion Worth of Luxury Handwoven Carpets
His Highness Shaikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, visited the Culture of Woven Treasures museum at the Ajman Hotel. This exclusive exhibition, organized by the Ghanbarinia family, founders of Heritage Carpets, features over 4,000 luxury handwoven Persian carpets, some dating back to the 17th century. Valued at over Dh1 billion, the exhibition is held under the theme Islamic Art from Centuries Past.
The museum offers an extraordinary collection of rare Persian carpets, making it one of the largest exhibitions of its kind globally. The handwoven masterpieces, not for sale, represent a tradition of elegance and craftsmanship. These pieces, which once adorned royal palaces and chambers of global leaders, today stand as rare artifacts in esteemed museums worldwide.
A Showcase of Craftsmanship and Cultural Heritage
The exhibition is an artistic and historical journey, showcasing centuries-old craftsmanship. Each carpet narrates a unique story, blending elements of reality and imagination. With roots tracing back 2,500 years, the collection reflects intricate designs and the dedication of master weavers.
Amir Ghanbarinia, CEO of Heritage Carpets, emphasized the pivotal role of His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, and Shaikh Ammar in fostering Ajman’s cultural, economic, and tourism sectors. He highlighted their contributions to establishing the emirate as a hub for art and heritage, in line with Ajman Vision 2030.

The exhibition aligns with Ajman’s Vision 2030, which focuses on preserving and promoting cultural heritage while encouraging community engagement in arts and culture. It also supports the UAE’s sustainability goals, with Heritage Carpets committing to a zero-carbon footprint in its operations.
Ghanbarinia noted that the exhibition is designed to educate and inform visitors about the cultural significance of Persian carpets. As one of the oldest institutions in the trade, established in 1841, Heritage Carpets operates 86 branches in 29 countries and has held similar exhibitions worldwide, solidifying its reputation as a leader in authentic Persian carpets.
