Bridgestone Develops Bespoke Potenza Sport Tyres for Maserati’s First All-Electric SUV

Bridgestone, a global leader in premium tyres and sustainable mobility solutions, has announced a significant collaboration with Maserati for the development of custom 20” Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres for the Maserati Grecale Folgore, the automaker's first all-electric SUV.

Enhancing Performance and Range

The Maserati Grecale Folgore is now equipped with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres, tailored to enhance the SUV’s capabilities. These ultra-high performance tyres are designed to extend the EV’s driving range while delivering superior handling in both dry and wet conditions. This partnership marks the latest in a series of collaborations between the two brands, following their recent joint ventures on the Maserati MC20 and Maserati Grecale.

Cutting-Edge Technology

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres, custom-engineered for the Grecale Folgore, leverage ENLITEN Technology, Bridgestone’s innovative tyre development approach. This technology ensures maximum safety and outstanding performance, enhancing the vehicle's capabilities and sustainability. The tyres achieve a best-in-class EU Label A-grade for very low rolling resistance, contributing to the Grecale Folgore’s impressive 500km range.

Commitment to Electrification

Bridgestone and Maserati share a strong commitment to advancing electric mobility. Bridgestone is investing in premium tyres and technologies for electric vehicles, as well as dedicated fleet and mobility solutions. Maserati, the first Italian luxury brand to launch 100% electric vehicles, aims to produce electric versions of all its models by 2025 and fully electric vehicles by 2028.

Made in Italy

Consistent with Maserati’s Italian heritage, the Grecale Folgore and its bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres were designed and produced in Italy. Bridgestone utilized its proprietary Virtual Tyre Development technologies and Maserati’s driving simulator to create and test the tyres in a digital environment. This process reduces physical prototyping, cuts raw material consumption, lowers carbon emissions, and accelerates the time to market.
