The BMW Group has announced significant leadership changes within its Sales and Finance Divisions, effective 1 October 2025, as part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen global operations and sustain growth momentum.

Jean-Philippe Parain, currently Head of the Sales Region Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, will take over leadership of the MINI brand. Parain, who joined BMW France in 1997, has held several senior roles, including President and CEO of BMW Group Belux, Head of MINI Europe, and Head of Sales Region Europe. Under his leadership, the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions recorded strong growth, securing market leadership for BMW and MINI in the premium segment.

Stefan Richmann, the current Head of MINI, will transition to become Head of Treasury and Investor Relations for BMW Group. Richmann has successfully overseen a 25% rise in MINI sales as of August 2025, driven by the global appeal of the new MINI lineup and surging demand for all-electric models. In his new role, he will oversee the Group’s financing activities, liquidity management, pension investments, and serve as the key link to capital markets.

Meanwhile, Ritu Chandy, currently Head of BMW Group Treasury, will succeed Parain as Head of Sales Region Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Chandy, who joined BMW Group in 2001, has extensive experience across global markets, including CFO roles for BMW Group Financial Services in North America and CEO of the Asia-Pacific division. She has been widely recognized for her strategic approach, capital market transparency, and ability to manage diverse and complex markets.

The reshuffle is expected to bolster the company’s focus on digital transformation, e-mobility, and market expansion while ensuring robust financial management and strong stakeholder relations.
