With the attendance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum El Beit concludes its second season
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has attended the 13th and final episode of El Beits second season. His Highness marked his surprise appearance with a poem that he recited live on air, praising this years participants.
Also in attendance was His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, with a special appearance by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
The nights poetic attractions continued with all the winners from the previous 12 episodes being welcomed to compete with each other for the AED1 million Grand Prize. The highly supportive and responsive audience had the opportunity to cast their votes and select their most creative poets of the season.
Organized and produced by Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center, and filmed at Dubai Studio City, the show has brought together exceptional talents in Nabati poetry. Only the most outstanding poets were selected for the final episode for a chance to win the AED1 million top prize.
El Beit Season 2: AED1 million winners
His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum crowned Muteb Al Sharari from KSA for winning the audience vote in the Nabd Al Soura (Imagery Pulse) competition. Mishal Al Harbi - also from KSA - won the top accolade in the Chater competition. Both winners earned AED 1 million each.

Mr Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center pointed out: The Grand Finale episode was a thrilling conclusion to an outstanding season, with passionate talents competing to be crowned as the best of the best poet. This success greatly strengthens the essence of Nabati poetry.
Media and Tradition: An interactive relationship
Fatma Al Bannay, Media Office Manager at Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center explained: Media plays an essential role in raising awareness of our rich heritage. It strengthens the pillars of Emirati culture, deepening the connection between the past and the present.
Al Bannay added: Our media strategy greatly succeeded in showcasing our cultural heritage to the world, innovatively using social media - specifically Twitter - to reach a loyal and passionate audience of over one million poetry lovers worldwide.
Season 2 winners describe the euphoria of winning
Mishal Al Harbi - Chater winner: El Beit show is the true definition of honesty and integrity. By choosing not to show the winners names and countries of origin, any sensitivities were defused in the spirit of fairness.
Muteb Al Sharari - Nabd Al Soura winner: El Beit show is an arena for sophisticated poetry, enabling talented poets to be discovered and rewarded under one roof.
Both winners expressed deep gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for providing an unparalleled opportunity for talented poets to show their creativity to the world.
Aidha Al Menhaly and Fayez Al Saeed
The season finale episode welcomed two talented Emirati artists who both dedicated a shalla (a traditional rhythmical poem) to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The judging panels consisted of renowned pioneers of contemporary poetry in the UAE and the Gulf. The show was hosted by Barakat Al Wagyan and the co-host for the second season was Emirati poet Ahmed Al Bidwawi. Joining the co-hosts was Omani poet Hilala Al Hamdani.
