Amazon Web Services (AWS) today announced groundbreaking enhancements to Amazon Bedrock, its fully managed service for building and scaling generative AI applications using advanced foundation models. These updates mark AWS’s most significant expansion of model capabilities to date, aiming to provide customers with enhanced inference tools, data capabilities, and unparalleled flexibility in developing production-ready generative AI solutions.

Key Announcements

Expanded Model Access: AWS will soon become the first cloud provider to offer models from Luma AI and Poolside while also adding the latest Stability AI model. The Amazon Bedrock Marketplace now provides access to over 100 popular, emerging, and specialized models, offering tailored solutions for diverse use cases.
Enhanced Inference Capabilities: Amazon Bedrock introduces smart caching and routing features, enabling customers to scale inference efficiently and cost-effectively.
Data Utilization Improvements: New capabilities such as structured data support and GraphRAG within Amazon Bedrock databases allow customers to leverage their data for creating unique AI-powered experiences.
Automated Data Processing: A new automation feature transforms unstructured and multimodal data into organized formats without the need for coding, facilitating broader data use in generative AI and analytics.

Amazon Bedrock has seen its customer base grow 4.7 times over the past year. Renowned organizations such as Adobe, Argo Labs, BMW Group, Octus, Symbeo, Tenovos, and Zendesk have already embraced these advancements to power their generative AI applications.

The new Amazon Bedrock Marketplace enables customers to explore over 100 specialized models, such as Palmyra-Fin for financial tech, Solar Pro for translation, and MARS6 for text-to-speech transformation.
