Ford has launched a new era of performance SUV with the arrival of the all-new Edge ST - the first SUV to wear the red and silver ST logo.

Ford has spent over 20 years refining the DNA of its 'Sports Technologies' brand, first with the Mondeo ST24 in the late 1990s. Since then, ST. The badge was used only for Ford's standard three nameplates. The Edge is the fourth, and the first SUV to wear a desirable badge.

The ST badge has come to signify Ford's commitment to low performance. ST is not about outward appearances - it is about providing the best driving dynamics, the best driving experience and healthy power and torque, which helps to make you unique as a driver.

Created by Ford Performance, which is behind every high-performance Ford on the market today, the all-new Edge ST comes with a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 that produces 335 horsepower and 515 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful ST model always. It is also the first ST to come with all-wheel-drive capability.

It is also designed for dynamic handling with a fast-changing eight-speed automatic transmission, standard all-wheel drive with selective traction control, available performance brake set and SD-tuned sport suspension. Equipped with 21-inch alloys and Pirelli P-Zero tyres, the STs handling is quick and responsive.

A new Sport Mode allows Edge ST drivers to experience more aggressive trigger response and shifting patterns, with gears with diagonal maneuvers, sharper engine braking and more resonant exhaust tone near the redline. Drivers can be manually switched on using the steering wheel-mounted SelectShift paddle shifters, while the unique Edge ST seating with additional bolstering.

The all-wheel drive system is tuned to provide excellent traction in any situation. It also monitors road conditions and seamlessly switches between two and four-wheel drive to provide the best combination of power, traction and fuel economy for driving exploitation.
To complement its performance capabilities, the Edge ST features new front and rear styling, a wide mesh grille for optimal cooling, deep side skirts and dual-exhaust outlets.

Inside, the Edge ST's heated and cooled bucket seats are arranged in black leather with inserts made from miko - a sueded with unique sporting piercing patterns. The seats are engraved with the ST logo, and both the driver's seat and the front passenger seat are 10-way power adjustable. There are other unique touches as well: the sill plates have the Ford Performance logo on the front and back, and the infotainment display features a special ST reception screen, and an SD badge engraved on the steering wheel. The tool cluster is also unique to the Edge ST.

For 2019, the Edge introduces Ford Co-Pilot360, which features popular, advanced driver-assist features that previously standardized as stand-alone options. Technologies such as the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) use radar to alert drivers approaching vehicles who are entering a blind spot by flashing an indicator light, and cross-traffic alert for drivers approaching traffic when exiting the parking lot or driveway Warning, included. Inside, the drivers forward media tank features a standard wireless charging pad and is specially designed for HARMAN's standard 12-speaker B&O PLAY Premium Audio System Edge.

SYNC with AppLink is standard with the advanced voice-enabled communication and entertainment system. This system gives users the ability to search for their favorite media content, daily encounters and nearby points of interest. The SYNC 3, with an eight-inch touch screen, is standard on the ST models for improved experience in the vehicle.
