DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 Set to Open in Dubai, Celebrating Heritage, Craftsmanship, and Innovation in Flooring
The global flooring community is gearing up for DOMOTEX Middle East 2025, which will take place from 22 to 24 April at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event is poised to spotlight cutting-edge materials, artisanal mastery, and global design trends shaping the future of the flooring industry across the Gulf region and beyond.
The three-day exhibition will bring together over 100 international exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals. It will feature immersive showcases, networking opportunities, and curated displays of traditional and contemporary flooring innovations.
This year’s edition emphasizes craftsmanship and design excellence, with a significant presence of handmade and design-forward flooring products. Among the highlights is Farco Handmade Carpets, a Dubai-based family business founded in 1975. The company will unveil a series of exclusive handmade Persian silk carpets, ranging from 40 to 100 square metres—each taking years to complete. These rare pieces will be shown publicly for the first time.
“Whether you are a dealer, a collector or someone looking to furnish their space with pure luxurious artwork, we have it all under one roof,” said Sam Foroutani, Executive Director at Farco Handmade Carpets. “These carpets are designed to elevate any environment and demonstrate the time-honoured techniques passed down through generations.”
Another standout exhibitor, Heritage Carpet, will present a gallery featuring a masterpiece valued at USD 4.6 million. Dating back to the early 1900s, the carpet is made of pure natural wool on a cotton foundation and dyed using natural materials. Drawing inspiration from the Safavid era, the carpet illustrates a paradisiacal garden with mythical creatures, trees, and celestial beings. The piece is a rare fusion of Persian artistry and Chinese mythology, originating from the PETAG workshop — a German initiative that revived classical 16th-century carpet designs in Tabriz under the direction of scholar Heinrich Jacoby.
From the technical innovation side, iSun Carpet will debut a 2000-reed machine-made carpet, pushing the boundaries of modern textile manufacturing. This intricate weaving feat exceeds the industry standard of 1700 reeds, showcasing the brand’s commitment to high-density weaving and material precision.
Beyond product exhibitions, DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 will feature interactive zones, trend displays, and business engagement spaces designed to enhance the visitor experience. The event remains a vital platform for manufacturers, designers, and buyers to explore opportunities in the GCC flooring market.
“We’re thrilled to return to Dubai with DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 and to welcome such a diverse and international community of flooring professionals,” said Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director of DOMOTEX at Deutsche Messe AG. “The energy around this year’s edition is truly inspiring, and we look forward to three days filled with meaningful conversations, product discoveries, and new business opportunities.”
As final preparations are underway, visitors from the region and abroad are encouraged to register in advance to explore global flooring innovations, connect with leading suppliers, and engage in conversations shaping the industry’s future.
