Athar Awards 2024 Celebrates Saudi Arabia's Creative Talent and Vision 2030 Goals
The second edition of the Athar Festival, Saudi Arabia's premier event for the creative marketing industry, concluded with the Athar Awards ceremony, celebrating the Kingdom's top creative campaigns, teams, and individuals. This year, 51 winners were honored for their outstanding contributions to Saudi Arabia's dynamic communications and creative industries, helping advance the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals.
With over 1,700 attendees, the grand awards night marked the finale of Athar Festival, which included over 100 speakers and 100 hours of insightful sessions. The event was hosted by Motivate Media Group and TRACCS.
Ian Fairservice, Chairman of Athar Festival and Managing Partner of Motivate Media Group, remarked on the achievements recognized by the Athar Awards, stating, "These awards celebrate the best creative work from the Kingdom, raising the bar for excellence and inspiring new standards in the marketing industry."
Mohamed Al Ayed, Vice Chairman of Athar Festival and CEO of TRACCS, emphasized the importance of honoring the talent behind the work: “Our aim is to inspire the next generation of Saudi creatives by celebrating those leading the way with innovation and storytelling.”
This year’s winners were chosen through a rigorous, multi-level evaluation by an expert jury of over 80 professionals spanning media, technology, and hospitality. In total, 26 gold trophies were awarded for excellence, while 25 silver trophies honored highly commended entries.
The event also recognized emerging talents from the Young Talent Academy and celebrated participants of the Maheerah Women’s Empowerment Programme, reinforcing Athar’s commitment to fostering future leaders.
Reflecting on her role as a jury member, Reema Al Shammasi, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Mastercard, shared, "Being part of the Athar Awards jury was truly enlightening. It offered exposure to some of the most innovative campaigns in Saudi Arabia."
