ADNIC Posts AED 261.2 Million Profit Before Tax in H1 2025, Up 16.5% Year-on-Year

Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC), a leading multi-line insurance provider in the region, has announced strong financial results for the first half of 2025, with net profit before tax reaching AED 261.2 million — a 16.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

The company recorded gross written premiums (GWP) of AED 5.54 billion, up 25.7% year-on-year, and maintained a combined ratio of 92.9%, underscoring its robust underwriting performance and operational efficiency. Total insurance revenue stood at AED 4.0 billion, compared to AED 3.3 billion in H1 2024.

ADNIC’s net insurance service result rose 26.5% to AED 258.5 million, while net income from investments climbed 19.5% year-on-year to AED 142.4 million. Profit after tax for the period reached AED 235.3 million. As of 30 June 2025, the company reported total assets of AED 11 billion and total shareholders’ equity of AED 3.5 billion.

In line with its commitment to innovation and the UAE’s economic vision, ADNIC has continued investing in artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The company also partnered with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP) during the first half of the year to offer specialised life insurance solutions to eligible UAE Nationals.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Saif Al-Nahyan, Chairman of ADNIC, said the strong performance demonstrates “the resilience of our business model and the effectiveness of our long-term strategy,” adding that the company remains focused on sustainable growth and supporting the UAE’s economic development.

Charalampos Mylonas, Chief Executive Officer of ADNIC, attributed the results to a strong capital position, disciplined cost management, and innovation initiatives, reaffirming ADNIC’s commitment to delivering long-term value for stakeholders and strengthening its role as a leading insurance provider in the region.
