BenQ Marks 25 Years of Leadership Excellence as Manish Bakshi Celebrates Milestone in Middle East

BenQ has announced a major leadership milestone as Manish Bakshi completes 25 years with the organisation, highlighting a legacy of innovation, regional growth, and people-centric leadership across the Middle East.

Based in Dubai, Bakshi has played a pivotal role in transforming BenQ’s presence in the region since joining Acer Communication and Multimedia in 2000 and transitioning into BenQ in 2001.

Driving Regional Growth and Market Leadership

Over the past two decades, Bakshi has been instrumental in establishing the META (Middle East, Turkey & Africa) office and expanding the company’s footprint across key markets. Under his leadership, BenQ has achieved #1 market share positions in projectors and interactive displays in countries including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The company has also secured strong positions in gaming monitors and home entertainment solutions, driven by consistent innovation and strategic partnerships.

Transforming Education Through Technology

A significant part of BenQ’s regional impact has been in the education sector, where the company has helped shift traditional classrooms into interactive digital learning environments. Key initiatives include:

  1. Deployment of interactive flat panels (IFPs) across schools
  2. Introduction of EyeCare™ certified displays for student wellbeing
  3. Support for government-led digital transformation programmes
  4. Enabling hybrid and cloud-connected learning solutions

Bakshi has consistently emphasised that technology should enhance learning experiences and create inclusive environments, rather than simply deliver hardware.

Enabling the Hybrid Workplace

Beyond education, BenQ has played a leading role in reshaping corporate collaboration. The company’s solutions have supported organisations transitioning to hybrid work models, including the rollout of BenQ InstaShow, one of the region’s widely adopted wireless presentation systems.

The focus has been on seamless, secure, and user-friendly meeting solutions, enabling businesses and government entities to operate more efficiently.

A Human-Centric Leadership Philosophy

Bakshi’s leadership style is rooted in trust, empowerment, and long-term relationship building. With an MBA from Sukhadia University and an engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, he combines technical expertise with a strong focus on people and culture.

This approach has helped foster a multicultural, high-performing team, positioning the Middle East as one of BenQ’s strongest global regions.

Shaping Industry Conversations and Future Growth

Recognised as a thought leader, Bakshi has actively contributed to discussions around emerging trends such as:

  1. The rise of esports
  2. Evolution of hybrid learning and workspaces
  3. Sustainability and energy-efficient technologies
  4. Integration of AI in display innovation

Looking ahead, BenQ plans to deepen its focus on AI-powered education tools, immersive simulation technologies, esports development, and smart home entertainment solutions, while continuing to prioritise sustainability and user wellbeing.

A Milestone of Impact and Legacy

Reflecting on the journey, Bakshi credited the company’s success to its people-driven approach, stating that while technology evolves, “people remain at the heart of everything we do.”

The milestone marks not just 25 years of service, but a broader legacy of innovation, leadership, and meaningful impact across the Middle East’s technology landscape.
