Yas Bay Waterfront is set to host the much-anticipated fourth edition of Waterfront Nights, the annual Ramadan pop-up market, from March 15 to April 1, 2025. Running daily from 8 PM to 2 AM, the event promises an elevated experience with 26 local vendors, free workshops, live entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display during Eid al-Fitr.

The highly celebrated Waterfront Nights has become a signature event in Abu Dhabi’s Ramadan calendar, attracting families and visitors alike. This year’s market will feature an extensive lineup of local brands, cultural activities, and authentic Emirati cuisine, making it a memorable experience for everyone attending.

Local Businesses and Culinary Delights Take Center Stage

The event will showcase 26 homegrown brands, with 23 of them supported by the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, an initiative by the Abu Dhabi Government aimed at promoting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Visitors can expect a diverse shopping experience, including clothing, accessories, perfumes, artwork, and home décor.

Fashion enthusiasts can explore collections from Classy & Elegant Couture, while pop-culture lovers can find unique products from Tebra, MZ Stickers, and more. In addition, perfume enthusiasts will have the opportunity to discover authentic oud and fragrances from renowned brands like 90s Aoud and Woud.

The food section is set to offer a wide array of delectable cuisines from various regions. Guests can enjoy traditional Emirati dishes like luqaimat, khameer, and chebab from Rqaq House or indulge in Egyptian delicacies such as koshari and mahshi from The Lions. International offerings like ramen, slushies, and international street food will also be available.

• Traditional Storytelling Sessions: Visitors can immerse themselves in live hakawati (traditional storytelling) sessions, where skilled narrators will share captivating stories rooted in Arabic culture and history. Sessions are scheduled every evening at 8:30 PM, 10:05 PM, 11:35 PM, and 12:15 AM.
• Oud and Qanun Musical Performances: Adding to the cultural ambiance, live performances by Oud and Qanun musicians will take place every hour, filling the venue with soothing traditional Arabic melodies.
• Kids' Corner: Designed for younger guests, the Kids' Corner will offer a variety of activities such as face painting, electric bike rides, arts and crafts, and interactive games, ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience for children.
• Gaming Area: For visitors who enjoy friendly competition, the gaming area will feature popular board games like carrom, chess, tawla, and dominoes.

Exciting Workshops for Creative Enthusiasts

As part of promoting cultural values and creativity, Waterfront Nights will also host free workshops, allowing visitors to engage in hands-on experiences:

• Islamic Geometric Art Workshop: Participants will learn the intricate art of Islamic geometric patterns using sustainable materials, reflecting the theme of Ramadan. The workshop is recommended for ages 12 and above and will run every hour starting from 8 PM.
• Arabic Calligraphy Workshop: Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the art of Arabic calligraphy, guided by professional calligraphers. They will learn about different calligraphy styles like Diwani, Naskh, and Thuluth, and even create their personalized calligraphy piece to take home.

Both workshops will run daily throughout the event and are open to beginners and experienced participants alike.

Grand Eid Celebrations and Fireworks Display

To mark the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Waterfront Nights will offer extended operating hours from 4 PM to 10 PM and will host a grand fireworks display, illuminating the Yas Bay Waterfront sky. Additionally, shoppers will have the chance to participate in a raffle draw, where they can win exciting prizes, including a Gold Yas Annual Pass and AED 1,000 dining vouchers for use at participating restaurants across Yas Bay Waterfront. Shoppers will receive one raffle entry for every AED 100 spent, and winners will be announced during Eid celebrations.
