Google today revealed the arrival of Umm Al Quwain in Street View, a feature by Google Maps that will permit users to view and browse 360 degree street-level images of major streets throughout the city.

Street View was released in May 2007 and is already available in more than 3000 cities throughout 63 countries around the globe. Google Street View images offers users with a rich, immersive searching experience and enables users to check out world landmarks, view natural wonders, browse a trip or other points of interest.

A few of the primary locations Street View users will be able to see in Umm Al Quwain today are: the city's Beach Garden, the Old Town Area, the Umm Al Quwain National Museum, and the deserted Soviet-era freight plane, Ilyushin IL-76.

Obaid Sultan, General Manager of Urban Planning in Umm Al Quwain, said: "This project with Google will make it possible for the city's residents and visitors to check out accurate breathtaking images of Umm Al Quwain's streets, heritage sites, and traveler destinations.".

Street View Process.
