UAE Motorists applaud governments road infrastructure improvements, but reckless driving keeps annoying.
UAE's drivers praise the federal government's efforts to more enhance the roadway facilities, which shortens commuting time and increases driving enjoyment, however, negligent driving continues to annoy UAE vehicle drivers, according to the 2nd cycle of the UAE Road Safety Monitor.
The research, commissioned by QIC Insured (Qatar Insurance Company) and RoadSafetyUAE, is the 2nd cycle of a continuous study to measure understanding trends of motorists about: infrastructure, the general driving satisfaction, commute time, driving behaviour (linked to the main causes of mishaps, injuries and casualties), and fines & mishaps. The understanding trends are always measured for the last 6 respective months.

Participants praise the efforts of UAE federal government organizations to construct brand-new roadways, bridges and access roads; with 79 % reporting that roadway facilities has enhanced in the last six months, which represents a +11 % pts. Increase vs. the last 2015 UAE Road Safety Monitor cycle.
51 % (+8 % pts.) of participants say they take pleasure in driving on the UAE's roadways more than six months ago, compared to 24 % (-8 % pts.) who enjoy it less.

Whilst the federal government strives to improve roadway centers, the driving culture continues to be a big challenge.
