UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention Launches Awareness Activities for Children as Part of GCC Oral Health Unified Week

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention has launched the tasks of the GCC Oral Health Unified Week under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Ministry's Health Centers and Clinics Market. The drive is being held in control with the Executive Office of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), Colgate, and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Dental University.

The GCC Oral Health Unified Week aims to increase understanding on the significance of health, the relevance of healthy food option and its direct influence on oral health, and the requirement for regular dental evaluations every six months by arranging workshops for children.

Dr. Mariam Al-Sayed Jafar, Head of the UAE Ministry of Health and Avoidance's Oral area, mentioned that the objective of the GCC Oral Health Unified Week is to combine tasks, efforts and understanding programs throughout the region. She explained that this will add in boosting the oral and oral health of the residents of all GCC nations who all have similar food habits and social behaviors.
