Trojan Construction Holding and Orascom Construction launch Everwater for regional water infrastructure projects

Trojan Construction Holding and Orascom Construction have announced the formation of Everwater for Treatment Systems, a new 50:50 joint company headquartered in Abu Dhabi that will focus on delivering large-scale water infrastructure projects across the region.

The agreement was signed during the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit by Mohamed Mahmoud and Ihab Mehawed.

Everwater will provide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for major water infrastructure developments, including desalination and wastewater treatment projects.

The joint venture combines Trojan Construction Holding’s execution capabilities and strong presence in Gulf markets with Orascom Construction’s extensive expertise in water infrastructure development and project delivery. Orascom Construction has delivered more than 17 million cubic metres per day of combined water, wastewater, and desalination capacity across the Middle East and Africa region.

According to the companies, Everwater is already in final negotiations for a 300,000 cubic metre-per-day desalination plant in the region, marking a significant early milestone for the newly established venture.

Commenting on the partnership, Mohamed Mahmoud said the launch of Everwater represents a strategic move into infrastructure sectors that are essential for sustainable development and long-term regional growth.

He added that combining the strengths of both companies creates a platform capable of delivering high-impact water projects while supporting future infrastructure priorities across the region.

Ihab Mehawed noted that the partnership builds on the two companies’ track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects at scale. He said Everwater will serve as a focused platform capable of pursuing and executing major water projects where technical expertise, financial capability, and delivery certainty are critical.

The establishment of Everwater in Abu Dhabi further highlights the emirate’s growing position as a regional and global hub for infrastructure investment, innovation, and strategic partnerships, particularly in essential sectors such as water and utilities.
