Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Meets Emirati Educators, Announces New Initiative to Empower Teachers

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, met with Emirati educators from Dubai’s private education sector and retired teachers at Etihad Museum on the occasion of Emirati Day for Education.

Commitment to Educational Excellence

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its education sector under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. He emphasized that human development remains at the core of the UAE’s vision for comprehensive progress.

Sheikh Hamdan praised Emirati teachers for their dedication and their crucial role in instilling patriotism, national values, and academic excellence in future generations. He also honored retired educators, recognizing their lifelong contributions to shaping leaders across various sectors in the UAE.

Enhancing Support for Emirati Teachers

Sheikh Hamdan directed the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) to enhance support for Emirati teachers in the private education sector, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and assistance to overcome challenges.

"Our goal is to empower Emirati teachers as the backbone of our education system, placing full confidence in their ability to uphold this national responsibility. We fully support every Emirati teacher devoted to shaping young minds with dedication and integrity and nurturing a generation that reflects our nation’s aspirations," Sheikh Hamdan stated.

Launch of ‘Inspiration Talks’ Initiative

To further empower Emirati educators, Sheikh Hamdan launched ‘Inspiration Talks’, a new KHDA-led platform designed to:
Foster discussion and collaboration between educators
Enhance the professional skills of Emirati teachers
Promote Emirati representation in leadership roles within the education sector

Under this initiative, KHDA will:
🔹 Develop training programs in collaboration with private schools and early childhood centers to support Emirati teachers' career growth
🔹 Implement a mentorship program, where experienced retired educators will guide and support younger Emirati teachers

Educators Express Gratitude

The Emirati educators thanked Sheikh Hamdan for his continued support and pledged to contribute to an education system that nurtures excellence and attracts top talent. They emphasized their commitment to preparing future generations of Emiratis who will uphold the nation’s legacy of innovation and progress.
