Seven Canon designs recognised with iF Design Awards
Canon, world leader in imaging options, announced today that 7 Canon designs were recognised by iF International Forum Design GmbH and got distinguished 2016 iF Design Awards. Especially, Canon's XC10 4K camcorder was chosen for the iF Gold Product Design Award 2016, the highest honour in the item category.

iF Design Awards went to the EOS 5DS/ EOS 5DS R digital SLR video cameras, the EF 11-24mm f/4L USM ultra wide-angle zoom lens, the EOS M3 Compact System Camera, the PowerShot G3 X superzoom video camera, the PIXMA MX490 Series inkjet printer and the i-SENSYS MF220/210 Series laser multifunction printers.
Developed in 1953, the iF Design Awards are recognised as one of the most highly regarded awards within the field of design. This year, 5,295 entries from 53 countries and areas were judged by internationally popular design professionals throughout 7 categories. These included item, product packaging, communication, interior architecture, architecture, service design and expert idea.
This year marks Canon's 22nd successive year of winning iF Design Awards. Motivated by the recognition of the company's design excellence, Canon will continue aiming to realise items that integrate the highest levels of efficiency and design.
