RTA celebrates the International Day of Happiness, hosts international speakers
The Roads and Transport Authority took part in the international celebrations of the International Day of Happiness, corresponding to March 20. HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), remained in attendance of the event held by RTA yesterday in the presence of Ms. Iman Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Model Center, CEOs, Directors and staff members of the RTA.
Al Tayer restated the commitment of the UAE management to recognizing happiness, stability and welfare of citizens and residents, and nurturing favorable mindsets in the UAE community, besides rendering government entities pleased organizations through their policies, programs, services and workplace.
RTA ranks the Peoples Happiness as part of strategic goals in line with the Dubai Strategic Plan 2021. RTA has backed Consumers Happiness Week as a theme for the 4th edition of Customers Week, which comprises a host of activities, consisting of a creative stand at Dubai Mall. RTA is the first government entity in Dubai to launch the Happiness Strategy comprising 12 key pillars relating to the communal and individual levels. The provision integrated mass transit systems, roadways, smooth traffic and the transition to the smart government drive in providing client services is the actual manifestation of happiness episodes and a direct epitome of RTA's support, and an enrichment of this concept.
RTA's celebrations of the International Day of Happiness consisted of hosting of three global speakers specialized in wellbeing and happiness. Professor Jan Emmanuel De Neve, Oxford University, made a visual presentation about the Happiness Science in which he touched on government indicators worldwide. He also spoke about accomplishing happiness, and the function of happiness in attaining advancement, and the relationship between decent living and the earnings level.Ewen Gibb, Chief Innovation and Technology Officer, Future Cities Catapult, made a visual presentation entitled: Why is Happiness becoming Important Now? Robert M. Keay, CEO, Ethos, delivered a speech in which he spoke on measuring RTAs contribution to Dubais Happiness.
During the occasion, Al Tayer and Ms. Iman Al Suwaidi awarded the speakers in RTA's celebrations of the International Day of Happiness.
