Rabdan Academy Joins INTERPOL Global Academy Network to Enhance Law Enforcement Training

Rabdan Academy has signed a joint training agreement with the General Secretariat of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), marking a significant step in strengthening global cooperation in law enforcement training, research, and expertise exchange. The agreement, signed on the sidelines of IDEX 2025, officially makes Rabdan Academy a member of the INTERPOL Global Academy Network, reinforcing its role as a leader in safety, security, defense, emergency preparedness, and crisis management education.

The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, and H.E. Valdez Urquiza, Secretary General of INTERPOL, alongside senior officials and specialists from both organizations. The agreement sets the framework for collaboration in developing, organizing, and implementing joint training activities such as courses, seminars, conferences, study tours, and specialized law enforcement training programs.

H.E. James Morse emphasized that the partnership aligns with Rabdan Academy’s strategic objectives of advancing specialized competencies in security-related fields. He stated, “Through this cooperation, we aim to enhance the quality of specialized academic and training programs at Rabdan Academy while improving the efficiency of law enforcement personnel both regionally and globally.”

H.E. Valdez Urquiza, Secretary General of INTERPOL, highlighted the significance of trusted academic partnerships, noting that collaboration with institutions like Rabdan Academy contributes to the development of global law enforcement training methodologies and standards. “This partnership will enhance the capabilities of INTERPOL members and strengthen the INTERPOL Global Academy Network,” he added.

As part of the agreement, Rabdan Academy and INTERPOL will exchange academic materials, training publications, and faculty expertise, while also providing mutual support in applied research related to law enforcement. Additionally, students at Rabdan Academy will gain access to the INTERPOL Virtual Academy, offering specialized training in international police work, with Rabdan Academy’s training programs receiving accreditation from INTERPOL.

The INTERPOL Global Academy Network, established in 2019, brings together leading law enforcement education institutions worldwide to create a unified approach to security training. Rabdan Academy’s inclusion in this network underscores its commitment to developing national competencies and ensuring the highest levels of readiness to address future security challenges.
