OMODA & JAECOO Showcases AI Robotics and Smart Mobility Technologies for Future UAE Smart Cities

Global automotive brand OMODA & JAECOO has highlighted the potential role of humanoid robotics and AI-powered smart mobility technologies in supporting the UAE’s evolving smart city ecosystem through its AiMOGA robotics platform and advanced Valet Parking Driver (VPD) technology.

As the UAE continues to advance its ambitions in artificial intelligence, smart mobility, and urban innovation, the company is positioning its intelligent robotics and autonomous mobility solutions as future enablers of connected city infrastructure and public services.

Developed in partnership with the AiMOGA team, the company’s intelligent service and humanoid robots are already being deployed in public service environments worldwide, demonstrating how artificial intelligence, robotics, and mobility technologies are increasingly converging beyond traditional automotive applications.

Among the latest deployments is AiMOGA’s intelligent traffic robot, “Wuyou,” which has been used for street patrol and traffic guidance functions. The company has also introduced humanoid robots at international sporting events, where they provide multilingual assistance, visitor guidance, and public engagement services.

OMODA & JAECOO has additionally showcased its VPD (Valet Parking Driver) technology during the Chery International Business Summit in China. The AI-powered system enables vehicles to autonomously locate parking spaces, self-park, and return to drivers through intelligent summon functions. The technology is designed to support future applications in airports, hotels, shopping centres, public transport hubs, and smart city developments.

According to the company, these innovations represent the next phase of intelligent mobility ecosystems, where AI-powered technologies extend beyond vehicles to become integrated into broader urban infrastructure.

The initiative aligns with the UAE’s vision for advanced smart cities, with potential future applications including AI-powered assistance across airports, tourism destinations, retail environments, transportation hubs, and major public events.

The AiMOGA platform leverages technologies originally developed for intelligent vehicles, including autonomous navigation, environmental perception, multimodal sensing, AI interaction systems, and cloud-connected data platforms.

One of the platform’s humanoid robots, “Mornine,” is capable of communicating in 11 languages and can assist with customer engagement, hosting, and public guidance services. Meanwhile, the quadruped robot “Argos” has demonstrated autonomous navigation and assistance capabilities across complex public environments.

The company said the project supports its broader “Human-Vehicle-Road-Cloud” ecosystem strategy, which aims to extend intelligent automotive technologies into wider smart living and public service applications.

AiMOGA robots are currently operating in more than 30 countries and regions and have been deployed across over 100 real-world scenarios, including exhibitions, showrooms, urban services, and public engagement environments.

The robotics initiative comes as OMODA & JAECOO continues its global expansion, having surpassed one million cumulative vehicle sales worldwide within three years. In the UAE, the brand has exceeded 5,000 vehicle sales while expanding its showroom and aftersales network across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.

The company currently offers a growing portfolio of intelligent and new-energy vehicles, including the OMODA C5, OMODA C7, JAECOO J7 SHS, and JAECOO J8 SHS. It noted that advanced technologies such as VPD are expected to be introduced gradually in selected future models.

Commenting on the company’s vision, Shawn Xu said artificial intelligence and robotics are becoming increasingly important components of future mobility ecosystems, enabling smart systems developed for vehicles to support urban services, public interaction, and enhanced smart city experiences.

The company believes that future cities will increasingly rely on collaboration between humans, intelligent vehicles, and robotics systems to improve efficiency, convenience, and overall user experience. As cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi continue investing in AI and next-generation urban technologies, humanoid robotics and autonomous mobility solutions are expected to play a growing role in shaping the region’s smart city landscape.
