Network International and flydubai enhance passenger experience with seamless payments at DXB
Network International, a leading fintech company in the Middle East and Africa, has partnered with Dubai-based carrier flydubai to introduce a more seamless and efficient payment experience for passengers at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Under the collaboration, Network International has deployed its advanced Push to Pay solution on point-of-sale (POS) terminals across flydubai’s airport service touchpoints. The solution enables fast, secure and frictionless transactions by removing the need for manual data entry, helping passengers complete payments quickly and with greater convenience.
The integrated system supports all major international card schemes, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners, while also expanding acceptance to Jaywan, the UAE’s national payment scheme. This provides travellers with greater flexibility and choice when making payments at the airport.
Jamal Al Nassai, Group Managing Director, Merchant Services at Network International, said the collaboration reflects a shared focus on innovation and customer experience. He noted that integrating Push to Pay technology on POS terminals contributes to a smoother and more efficient journey for passengers.
Francois Oberholzer, Chief Financial Officer at flydubai, said the airline has a longstanding commitment to investing in digital solutions that enhance both operational efficiency and customer convenience. He added that as flydubai continues to expand its operations, seamless payment solutions play a key role in delivering an elevated travel experience on the ground and in the air.
As part of the agreement, flydubai will continue to benefit from Network International’s growing portfolio of payment technologies, ensuring reliability and ongoing enhancement of passenger services.
flydubai currently operates a network of more than 135 destinations across 58 countries in Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, South Asia and South-East Asia. The airline’s fleet comprises 97 Boeing 737 aircraft.
The partnership further strengthens Network International’s position as a key payments partner for the aviation and travel sector, supporting the UAE’s wider vision for seamless and secure digital experiences across critical industries.
