Network International Achieves PCI DSS Version 4.0 Certification in Saudi Arabia

Network International KSA, a prominent player in the digital commerce sector across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), has been awarded the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Version 4.0 certification. This prestigious certification underscores the company's commitment to maintaining the highest industry standards in payment card data security.

Network International KSA is among the first companies in Saudi Arabia to achieve compliance with the newly released PCI DSS Version 4.0 standards. This milestone highlights the company's leading role in advancing security protocols and its dedication to safeguarding customers' payment card information.

The PCI DSS, established by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), is a global standard designed to protect sensitive cardholder data and prevent fraud. It is applicable to any organization worldwide that handles, stores, or transmits cardholder information. The Version 4.0 certification represents the latest and most stringent level of security compliance, incorporating measures to address new security threats and vulnerabilities, enhance multi-factor authentication (MFA), and strengthen encryption and hashing requirements.

The certification was granted following a comprehensive audit conducted by SISA, an independent Qualified Security Assessor. The audit evaluated Network International's adherence to the latest security standards, ensuring the company meets the global requirements for secure payment processing.

Abdulaziz Al-Dahmash, Managing Director-KSA of Network International, commented on the achievement: "Securing the PCI DSS Version 4.0 certification marks a significant milestone for Network International in Saudi Arabia. This accomplishment, alongside our recent Major Payment Institution licence from the Saudi Central Bank, reaffirms our commitment to delivering secure and reliable payment solutions to merchants and businesses in the Kingdom. As a key enabler of digital commerce in the MEA region, the security of our customers' data remains our top priority."

In February 2024, Network International received a Major Payment Institution licence from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), further strengthening its position in the Saudi market. The company continues to support strategic financial inclusion initiatives by offering robust and secure payment solutions to businesses of all sizes.
