Khalifa Fund launches AI prompt engineering training programme for entrepreneurs
Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has launched a new ‘AI Prompt Engineering’ training programme in collaboration with 42 Abu Dhabi, aimed at equipping entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners with advanced artificial intelligence skills to support innovation and digital business growth.
The five-day programme, held in Al Ain from December 8 to 12, focuses on developing practical capabilities in AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, and real-world startup applications. It is designed to help participants improve productivity, build AI-enabled business solutions, and adapt to the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The initiative aligns with national efforts to empower Emirati entrepreneurs and highlights support for innovation and future-focused skills development. The training is delivered through multiple cohorts at the MZN Hub Al Ain, ensuring broad access for startup founders and business owners across the region.
H.E. Khalifa Saeed Al Kuwaiti, Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector at the Khalifa Fund, said the programme represents a strategic step in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing participants with practical tools to harness AI technologies and create innovative, market-ready solutions.
H.E. Ahmed Al Shoaibi, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing future-ready digital talent through a peer-to-peer, project-based learning model that enables founders to apply AI and coding tools to real startup use cases.
The programme follows a ‘Train-and-Build’ structure, with the first two days dedicated to hands-on training in AI and prompt engineering, followed by collaborative prototype development. It concludes with an interactive showcase where teams present their solutions and go-to-market strategies in a simulated investor pitch environment.
The launch reinforces ongoing efforts to develop advanced digital skills among Emirati entrepreneurs and support the UAE’s position as a regional hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence.
