Jisr Concludes 10th Edition of Majlis in Makkah, Expanding Dialogue on HR Innovation and Career Transformation

Saudi Arabia’s leading HR tech startup Jisr successfully concluded the 10th edition of its flagship CSR initiative, Majlis, in Makkah on July 22. The event brought together thought leaders, HR professionals, and executives from across the Kingdom to exchange insights, challenge conventional thinking, and advance practical strategies for human resource management (HRM).

First launched in Riyadh in 2024, Majlis has since grown into a key knowledge-sharing platform within the Kingdom’s business ecosystem, drawing over 3,000 attendees and featuring more than 200 speakers from both the public and private sectors. With speakers like Mr. Sultan Al-Sahmah, Mr. Naif Al-Faheid, and Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Akhdar, the series has consistently sparked influential conversations around workforce transformation and organisational growth.

This 10th edition was unique in being the first Majlis hosted at a client’s headquarters, as Sala—a dynamic Saudi startup—opened the doors to its new Makkah HQ to welcome Jisr and the broader HR community. The event not only extended Jisr’s geographical reach but also reinforced its strategic focus on engaging communities outside of the Kingdom’s central business hubs, such as Riyadh and Jeddah.

Mr. Hisham Ismail, Chief HR Officer at Sala, delivered a compelling address on challenging stereotypes surrounding career transitions, highlighting the need to support talent mobility and redefine traditional employment narratives. His remarks sparked vibrant discussions on employee engagement, workforce migration, and their implications for policy planning and organisational development in the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving economy.

Majlis Makkah also deepened Jisr’s connection with key regional stakeholders, including AlBaik, Saudi National Bank (SNB), and other influential organisations, signalling the growing prestige and impact of the platform.

This milestone edition underscores Jisr’s role as a catalyst for HR innovation, particularly following its $30 million Series A funding round in 2023, led by Merak Capital. That investment has propelled the company’s product development and reaffirmed its position at the forefront of Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation in human capital.

By bringing the Majlis series to Makkah, Jisr reaffirms its commitment to creating inclusive, nationwide conversations that address local challenges while aligning with the broader Vision 2030 goals of empowering talent, modernising HR practices, and enabling economic diversification.
