Hotbrands International expands with new restaurants in UAE and Oman

Leading UAE-based food services company, Hotbrands International (HBI)has opened three quick service restaurants in new locations in the GCC, as part of its on-going expansion aimed at further consolidating its wide footprint in the region.

HBI opened both Shamiana and Magic Wok restaurants at the Dubai Airport Freezone, which is home to a thriving business community consisting of local, regional and international entrepreneurs and multinational companies. Magic Wok also opened in Avenues Mall in Oman while a new-look Magic Wok re-opened in the Mall of the Emirates following refurbishment.

HBIs flagship brand Shamiana serves authentic Indian cuisine and Magic Wok is renowned for its Chinese flavours. The new outlets are part of a plan to increase HBIs portfolio of multi ethnic food concepts offering cuisines of different countries and cultures.

Samir Gupte of Hotbrands International, said: As we push forward further with our regional expansion, HBI, which is dedicated to creating multi ethnic food concepts, has been focusing on locations that offer a huge opportunity for organic growth largely influenced by a multicultural customer base, such as the Dubai Airport Free Zone and Avenues Mall . We are proud to be showcasing the newly designed Magic Wok in the Mall of the Emirates, as well as Dubai Airport Freezone and the introduction of Shamiana to their newly launched food court, is yet another great achievement for us.

HBI opened its first outlet in Dubai 23 years ago, and has now grown to more than 50 outlets in the GCC, India and United States. HBI is particularly well known for its Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) format. Currently, HBIs QSR concepts include Shamiana (Indian cuisine), Magic Wok (Chinese), Santinos (Italian), Sala Thai (Thai) and Sugoi! (Japanese), which reflect the flavours and cultures of the countries they represent. Its Casual Dining Restaurant (CDR) concept features Haru, which serves Japanese Robatayaki cuisine. HBI has also opened its first Fast Casual Restaurant (FCR) concept, Wok Chi, which serves Chinese cuisine, in the United States.
