H.E. Raja Al Mazrouei Receives Woman of the Year (Leadership) Gold Award at Citywealth Powerwomen Awards International 2025

Her Excellency Raja Al Mazrouei, CEO of Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI), the UAE’s Federal export credit company, has been awarded the prestigious Woman of the Year (Leadership) Gold Award at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards International 2025. The accolade, presented during a ceremony in London by Citywealth magazine, coincided with International Women’s Day and recognized Al Mazrouei’s remarkable contributions to business, finance, technology, trade, and leadership. The award highlights the critical role women play in shaping the global economic landscape.

This recognition acknowledges H.E. Al Mazrouei’s outstanding achievements in advancing women’s participation in finance and trade while fostering innovation and economic resilience. Her leadership has created pathways for women professionals to excel in key sectors and assume leadership roles.

Expressing her gratitude, H.E. Al Mazrouei stated: “I dedicate this award to all women who continue to make their mark across various industries, particularly Emirati women, who embody unwavering commitment and boundless ambition. In an evolving business landscape, this recognition highlights the significance of leadership, adaptability, and innovation in shaping the future of global trade and finance. She further emphasized the UAE’s strong commitment to women’s empowerment, guided by the vision of the country’s leadership. She noted that the National Policy for Empowerment of Emirati Women 2023-2031, spearheaded by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, underscores the UAE’s dedication to gender equality and sustainable development in line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision.

H.E. Al Mazrouei also highlighted the UAE’s global achievements in gender equality and economic development, citing its 10th rank in the Global Soft Power Index, which evaluates 193 countries. The UAE has also secured top global rankings, including fourth place in Future Growth Potential, seventh in A Strong and Stable Economy, eighth in Influence, ninth in International Relations, and ninth in Advanced Technology and Innovation.

Since her appointment as CEO of ECI in May 2023, H.E. Raja Al Mazrouei has played a pivotal role in strengthening ECI’s initiatives to foster an inclusive work environment, recognizing the essential contributions of women in achieving the company’s strategic objectives. Her efforts align with ECI’s mission to enhance the competitiveness of the UAE’s non-oil exports, support foreign trade, and facilitate the expansion of locally produced goods into international markets. Through her leadership, she continues to contribute to the growth, diversification, and adaptability of the UAE’s national economy.
