Hamdan Bin Mohammed witnesses launch of MOEWs Smart Watch application

In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, the Ministry of Environment and Water has recently launched its Smart watch application as part of its participation at GITEX Technology Week 2015, which was launched today, October 18, 2015, and will run until October 22, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The launch was done in coordination with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) as part of the federal governments platform.

The Smart watch launch is part of the Ministrys framework to support the countrys smart transformation in line with the vision and guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The launch is also part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance, streamline and simplify its services as well as cultivate and strengthen new channels of communication with customers. The application will allow dealers to follow up the status of applications and services across multiple smart phones-- playing a crucial role in achieving the Ministrys objective to ensure that quality administrative services are delivered efficiently and with transparency.

During GITEX Technology Week 2015, the Ministry will also showcase a group of smart applications developed to address the needs of customers, from individuals and corporations, in its section at the federal governments platform at the event. This includes On Time application designed to manage the reviews of various dealers and service centers, which aims to reduce waiting time as the system allows the trader to wait to book a ticket via Smartphone.
In addition, the Ministry will showcase the Geographic Information System which will harness accurate and high quality environmental field spatial data to ensure a sustainable environment for life. The Ministry will also showcase Sail, an educational game dedicated for fishing lovers which features a unique and interactive tutorial style that will educate users with the fishing terms and conditions in the UAE.

GITEX Technology Week 2015 also witnesses the launch of the new version of My Carbon Fingerprint application, which aims to order to reduce the carbon footprint by increasing community awareness with regards to carbon emissions in the planet through an educational video.
