Group-IB Earns AWS Financial Software Competency Designation

Group-IB, a global provider of predictive cybersecurity technologies, has announced that it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Financial Software Competency designation, recognizing its expertise in delivering advanced cybersecurity solutions for the banking, insurance, capital markets, and payments sectors.

The designation highlights Group-IB’s industry experience, technical capabilities, and predictive cybersecurity solutions designed to help financial institutions combat increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. The company’s portfolio includes Fraud Protection, the Cyber Fraud Intelligence Platform (CFIP), and Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) services.

To obtain the competency status, Group-IB underwent a comprehensive validation process that assessed its technical architecture, security controls, and operational practices against AWS best practices and the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The evaluation also included customer success case studies from the financial services sector, demonstrating measurable results in fraud prevention and intelligence-driven incident response. Independent third-party auditors additionally reviewed the company’s solutions for performance, reliability, and security.

Dmitry Volkov, Dmitry Volkov, said the designation reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering proactive and intelligence-led cybersecurity solutions tailored for financial institutions.

“As cyber threats become more sophisticated, financial institutions must move beyond reactive defenses toward proactive and predictive strategies,” Volkov said. “Our solutions empower banks, insurers, and payment providers to anticipate threats, prevent fraud before it occurs, and respond to incidents with speed and precision.”

Advanced Fraud Protection

Group-IB’s Fraud Protection solution uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, behavioral analytics, and threat intelligence to predict, detect, and prevent online fraud in real time. The platform is designed to protect organizations from threats such as account takeovers, social engineering attacks, and payment fraud.

By analyzing user behavior, device attributes, and network activity, the solution can distinguish legitimate users from malicious actors while reducing false positives. Deployed on AWS infrastructure, it provides real-time threat intelligence and protection for web applications, mobile platforms, and APIs.

Cyber Fraud Intelligence Platform

The company’s Cyber Fraud Intelligence Platform (CFIP) offers a cloud-native environment designed to help financial institutions strengthen fraud detection and compliance efforts.

The platform operates within a dedicated Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), helping organizations reduce Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance scope by isolating sensitive cardholder data. It also features a headless, zero-ingress architecture and enables secure intelligence sharing among financial institutions without exposing sensitive information.

Incident Response and Digital Forensics

Group-IB’s Incident Response services provide rapid containment, investigation, and remediation support during cybersecurity incidents. The service combines digital forensics capabilities with proprietary threat intelligence to identify attack origins, trace threat actors, and uncover indicators of compromise across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.

The offering supports organizations throughout the incident lifecycle, from detection and containment to recovery and post-incident security enhancements, helping improve long-term cyber resilience.

Available Through AWS Marketplace

Group-IB confirmed that its Fraud Protection, Cyber Fraud Intelligence Platform, Services Retainer, and Incident Response Retainer solutions are currently available through AWS Marketplace, with additional cybersecurity solutions expected to be introduced on AWS in the near future.

The achievement further strengthens Group-IB’s position within the global financial cybersecurity landscape, as institutions continue to seek advanced tools to address evolving cyber risks while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational resilience.
