Five teams clinch top spots at Yas Links to win places in the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenges Grand Final
Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC) 2015 added five more teams to its Grand Final line-up, following its third qualifying round which was held at Yas Links, Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday, April 8.
Participants tackled the 18-hole golf course for the chance to win one of five spots in the final, which will be held in Ras Al Khaimah in late 2015.
Hussain Al Suwaidi and Craig Bruce earned the top position with a 43 (CB), followed by second place Corey Spring and Paul Spinks, with a score of 43. Third place was earned by Christopher Rossmeisl and Charles Parks with 42 (CB); fourth place was Subhojit Biswas and Babu Subramaniam scoring 42, and, securing the qualifiers fifth spot in the Grand Final was Ahmed Al Menhali and Abdulla Al Marzooqi, with a 41.
Throughout the day, there was also the opportunity for teams to win on-course competitions. These included Sport360s Hole 4 Nearest the Pin, claimed by Abdulla Al Marzooqi; PWSs Hole 7 Nearest the Pin, won by Charles Parks; Eccos Hole 17 Nearest the Pin, won by Omar Khan; Aramexs Hole 13 Nearest the Pin, won by Stuart Cameron, and Crystal Gallerys Longest Drive Hole 11, won by Craig Bruce.
