Federal Tax Authority Honours Outstanding Employees and Innovators at Annual Gathering

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) held its annual employee gathering, celebrating the achievements of its outstanding employees, founders, and tax innovators. His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, commended the Authority’s excellence and innovation across all areas, setting a global benchmark for tax authorities.

"Over the past few years, the Federal Tax Authority has succeeded in setting the standard when it comes to excellence and innovation across all areas of its work,” said H.E. Al Bustani. “This paves the way for us to achieve the Authority’s vision to become a world-leading tax authority, in line with the government excellence approach and guided by a forward-looking, results, and value-driven vision.”

The event was part of the FTA’s strategy to continuously enhance its institutional work environment, meet comprehensive quality standards, and foster creativity and collaboration within its team to maintain high performance. The Authority received the Best Workplace certification for 2024 from Great Place to Work, recognizing its efforts to create a positive work environment that meets the highest international standards.

During the ceremony, 68 employees were honored across various categories, including Employees of the Year, Teams of the Year, Founding Employees, Innovators of the Year, Graduates from Government Diploma Programs, Unknown Soldiers, and Members who have significantly contributed to the Authority’s journey since its establishment.

“The Federal Tax Authority has made a wide range of notable accomplishments, undergoing significant expansion in its customer base and services, as well as continuous development in its systems and processes,” asserted H.E. Khalid Al Bustani. He highlighted several initiatives and transformational projects launched by the FTA, including the Corporate Tax system, the EmaraTax smart application, the Muwafaq Package for SMEs, the Tax Agent Classification initiative, and the VAT Refund Scheme for Building and Operating Mosques.

H.E. Al Bustani noted the FTA’s commitment to the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to eliminate 2,000 government procedures in a year and cut the time needed to avail government services by 50%. “The Authority will continue to provide facilities in its services, cancelling more procedures, and reducing processing times in line with the Programme,” he said.

The FTA Director General emphasized the Authority's dedication to enhancing excellence and innovation in the workplace by engaging employees in the institutional development process and motivating work teams to be creative and excel. The FTA has received numerous international certifications in the field of institutional environment excellence, strengthening its comprehensive quality ecosystem and aligning its systems and services with the highest global standards
