                    Etisalat presents Voice-over-LTE service
                    
                    
                    Etisalat announced the launch of the UAE's first Voice-over-LTE service (VoLTE) enabling mobile consumers, both pre-paid and post-paid, to utilize LTE for full voice and data services.
The service will produce improvements in the quality of voice and video calls, and will provide clients a variety of benefits including high-definition voice calls and many rich-media services.
At the time of the launch, the VoLTE service will be allowed on Samsung S6 and S6 Edge gadgets, but there are strategies to roll it out to other gadgets quickly.
The new VoLTE service is based upon Single Radio Call Continuity (SRVCC). It will lower call set-up time considerably as compared with the present call set-up time and will provide high quality HD voice over Etisalat's 4G LTE network.
It does not require users to download any application. Converged network infrastructure will likewise allow Etisalat to maximise network capabilities and speed up the deployment of much more LTE-based innovative services for its customers.
"Although internet-based chat apps and messengers have gotten appeal over the last few years, voice calls continue to matter most when individuals desire real-time, interactive and instantly pleasing connection with their families, friends or coworkers," stated Saleh Al Abdouli, Etisalat's group chief executive officer.
