Emirates Health Services Strengthens Commitment to Enhancing Patient Experience
Emirates Health Services (EHS) has reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing patient experience by hosting the second session of The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) at the Abdullah Bin Ali Al Sharhan Health Center in Ras Al Khaimah. This meeting focused on evaluating and improving primary healthcare services, ensuring that the highest standards of healthcare delivery are consistently upheld.
During the session, Emirates Health Services highlighted its recent achievements, notably the accreditation of 64 of its affiliated health centers by the Joint Commission International (JCI). This milestone underscores EHS's commitment to implementing top-tier safety and quality standards, contributing to the UAE's leadership in global healthcare facility accreditation.
Dr. Aisha Mohammed Suhail, Chairwoman of the PFAC, emphasized the significance of the meeting in fostering the exchange of ideas and proposals aimed at improving healthcare services. She expressed satisfaction with the council's progress and looked forward to further enhancements that would boost customer satisfaction and align with EHS’s vision of delivering world-class healthcare services.
Saif Al Hassani, Head of Service Development and User Experience at EHS, highlighted several recent initiatives, including the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program and the launch of the Digital Care Center in late July. This center is designed to provide comprehensive medical services through virtual patient interactions, eliminating the need for physical visits to healthcare facilities, thereby saving patients time and effort.
The council’s agenda included a thorough review of the service offerings at EHS’s primary healthcare centers. It also focused on recommendations, future strategies, and enhancements, such as standardizing clinical and administrative protocols, upgrading infrastructure to improve patient safety, and the pivotal role these improvements play in elevating customer satisfaction.
The session concluded with a field visit to the Abdullah Bin Ali Al Sharhan Health Center, allowing council members to gain firsthand insights into the patient experience. The council, serving in an advisory capacity, provides valuable input and recommendations on issues affecting patients' journeys while accessing services at EHS facilities.
