Emirates Health Services Celebrates Emirati Women’s Day with Innovative Forum

Emirates Health Services (EHS) marked Emirati Women’s Day with a special forum titled “Collaborating for a Sustainable Healthy Tomorrow,” held at its Training and Development Center in Sharjah. The event, which aligns with the UAE’s celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, was organized under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, also known as the "Mother of the Emirates."

The forum drew a large audience of EHS employees and featured a panel of distinguished Emirati women in the healthcare sector. It highlighted the UAE’s progress in women’s empowerment, celebrated the exceptional achievements of Emirati women, and emphasized the need for their continued development. The event underscored the crucial role of Emirati women in the federal healthcare sector, showcasing their pioneering contributions to delivering high-quality healthcare services and elevating EHS’s standing both locally and globally.

H.E. Dr. Yousif Mohamed AlSerkal, Director General of Emirates Health Services, praised Emirati women for their significant contributions to the nation's comprehensive development. He highlighted their leadership roles across various fields and their essential role in shaping the future. AlSerkal emphasized that Emirati women are a cornerstone of nation-building, thanks to their initiative, innovation, and dedication. He also pointed out the unwavering support of the UAE’s leadership in empowering women to achieve success and excellence in all their endeavors.

Dr. Sara AlShaya, Director of the Data and Statistics Department at EHS, highlighted the remarkable milestones achieved by Emirati women in the healthcare sector. She commended their intelligence, expertise, and commitment to continuous learning and advancement, which have enabled them to take on leadership roles and overcome challenges in the sector.

The forum featured a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Ameera Saif Al Khaja, Director of Primary Healthcare Centers in Sharjah. The panel included five inspiring Emirati women from various fields, including nursing, engineering, pharmacy, and medicine. They shared their success stories, discussed initiatives by EHS and the UAE to support women, and explored future aspirations.

Additionally, the event included a video presentation showcasing the achievements of Emirati women in the healthcare sector and their contributions to the advancements of EHS. The forum concluded with an engaging competition for attendees.
