Emaar Launches Focused Mentorship 3.0 to Empower UAE Nationals and Cultivate Future Leaders
Emaar has announced the launch of Focused Mentorship 3.0, an evolved and dynamic version of its pioneering mentorship programme designed to empower UAE Nationals and strengthen the leadership pipeline within the organisation. This milestone follows the successful implementation of Mentorship 1.0 and 2.0 and reaffirms Emaar's commitment to nurturing local talent and creating a future-ready Emirati workforce.
Initiated in 2023 under the vision of Emaar Founder Mohamed Alabbar, the mentorship programme was designed to create a supportive ecosystem that enables UAE Nationals to share knowledge, guide one another, and grow professionally through a unique group mentoring approach. The newly launched Focused Mentorship 3.0 builds on this foundation, offering participants greater ownership of their development journey, deeper engagement, and enhanced cross-departmental collaboration.
The new model introduces a tailored matching process, allowing mentees to select mentors based on specific skill sets, project needs, or career aspirations. Carefully chosen mentors bring targeted expertise to support the development of critical capabilities and business acumen, enriching the learning process through immersive experiences such as learning labs, fireside chats, hands-on projects, and on-the-job exposure.
“This programme is about empowering individuals to reach their potential while cultivating a culture of continuous learning,” said Mr. Alabbar. “The success of Mentorship 2.0 reflects the passion and dedication of our people, and Focused Mentorship 3.0 is set to take it to the next level.”
The programme has significantly impacted career development: 75% of UAE Nationals promoted in recent months were participants in earlier mentorship cohorts. Mentorship 2.0 involved 133 mentees and 23 certified mentors, all trained under the renowned John Maxwell leadership methodology. The programme earned a satisfaction rating of 4.4 out of 5, reflecting the value participants placed on their mentorship experiences.
With approximately 200 Emiratis expected to join Focused Mentorship 3.0, the six-month programme will feature new tools, enhanced learning pathways, social impact activities, and collaboration with leading global companies to ensure mentees are equipped with future-focused skills. The initiative further supports Emaar’s aspiration to be an employer of choice for local talent, fostering innovation, inclusivity, and leadership development within its ranks.
