Emaar Highlights Commitment to UAE Industrial Growth at MIITE 2026
Emaar Properties has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the UAE’s industrial ecosystem and strengthening local value creation during its participation in Make it in the Emirates 2026, where the developer highlighted nearly AED 70 billion in awarded contracts as part of its ongoing contribution to the national economy.
The fifth edition of the event, held from May 4 to 7 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, marked the largest edition of the industrial platform to date. Organised under the theme “Advanced Industry. Emerging Stronger.”, the exhibition attracted more than 122,500 visitors, 1,000 exhibitors, and 300 speakers, while facilitating over AED 168 billion in offtake agreements across previous editions.
Emaar’s participation drew strong engagement from manufacturers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders, with the company using the platform to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration with UAE-based businesses and the integration of locally produced materials and services into its developments.
The developer showcased an immersive exhibition experience titled “Built by Vision. Powered by Emirati Talent,” highlighting its role as a UAE-born success story and its contribution to national development across sectors including hospitality, retail, tourism, and real estate. The showcase also emphasized Emaar’s efforts in supporting local suppliers, enabling Emirati talent, and strengthening its network of UAE-based partners.
During the opening day of the event, Mohamed Alabbar participated in a panel discussion titled “Adaptive by Design – Family Businesses as Pillars of Resilience and Continuity,” where he discussed the importance of resilience, discipline, and institution-building in navigating economic challenges and sustaining long-term growth.
Alabbar stressed that organisations built on strong structures and long-term thinking are better equipped to adapt to changing market conditions and emerge stronger during periods of uncertainty.
Emaar stated that its participation aligns with broader national priorities focused on strengthening the UAE’s industrial base and supporting economic diversification. The company continues to collaborate with local partners across construction, operations, and design while maintaining quality standards and expanding opportunities for homegrown enterprises.
The company’s efforts also build on its partnership with the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology through the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme, which encourages local procurement, supplier certification, and the growth of UAE-based businesses and national talent.
With total awarded contracts nearing AED 70 billion, Emaar said it remains committed to strengthening local supply chains and driving sustainable economic value within the UAE.
