Ecuador eyes UAEs growing F&B market at Gulfood 2015
Aiming to take advantage of the UAEs growing F&B market, Ecuador, Latin Americas booming economy, is showcasing its finest range of products at this years Gulfood, the worlds biggest annual food and hospitality show. The Ecuador National Pavilion boasts some of the finest, agricultural products, dairy products and sweets and snacks at the show.
The UAEs F&B sector is on the rise and bracing itself to meet the future demand from hotel and retail projects currently under development in Dubai. According to Euromonitor Inter-national, 19,000 extra F&B outlets are expected in the UAE by 2019.
PRO ECUADOR, the trade and investment promotion organisation of Ecuador, is playing a significant role in bringing together the very best of Ecuadorian F&B companies and prod-ucts to Gulfood each year and has upgraded its stand for the 2015 event.

We will definitely be participating at next years Gulfood exhibition to further strengthen the Ecuadorian trade in the region, concluded Merizalde.
Two of the nine companies participating at the Ecuador pavilion at Gulfood is Pacari Chocolate who is exhibiting its award-winning chocolate products and providing visitors an opportunity to taste and experience the very best and finest chocolate in the world, and Caoni, one of the leading fine-chocolate producers, is showcasing its award winning quality chocolates.
Catering to the UAEs growing sweets market, Confiteca and La Universal are showcasing their diverse range of confectionary products.
Ecuadors banana exports to the UAE in 2014 reached 2,094 tonnes valued at USD 1.2 million, and Sentilver, a leading producer and exporter of banana products is featured at the pavilion. Meanwhile, Ecuador is the only country that produces broccoli all year round and NOVA S.A, a grower, processor and exporter of IQF broccoli is also showcasing its premium products.
Currently, Ecuador is the largest exporter of cultivated hearts of palm in the world. INAEXPO, Ecuadors leading producer of palm hearts, canned artichokes and quinoa has contributed greatly to this success by investing in agricultural research and opening new markets. Furthermore, Plantain Republic S.A. an Ecuadorian company dedicated to the production and export of plantain chips is offering variety of flavours that come in the range of plantain products.
Furthermore, Industrias Lacteas TONI S.A, a leader in the dairy business in Ecuador, is also showcasing a broad range of dairy products like flavoured milk, iced coffee drinks and oatmeal drinks.
