Dubai to Introduce On-the-Go Car Services at Select Parking Locations
In a bid to offer enhanced convenience to motorists, select parking spaces in Dubai will soon feature a range of on-the-go services, including car washing, mobile refuelling, engine oil changes, tyre checks, battery inspections, and other essential vehicle maintenance tasks.
This initiative comes after the signing of a partnership agreement between Parkin PJSC, the operator of public parking spaces in Dubai, and the Emirates National Oil Company Group (ENOC) on Wednesday. The collaboration was announced at the 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF). While specific parking locations offering these services have yet to be revealed, the partnership aims to offer unparalleled customer convenience, enhanced by services from Zoom stores.
The new service will also integrate both companies' mobile applications and digital wallets, allowing customers to book services seamlessly through either platform. The integration will provide a user-friendly experience, offering features like booking management, real-time updates, and secure in-app payment options.
In an interview with Khaleej Times, Parkin CEO Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali revealed plans for the company to expand its operations beyond Dubai. The company is in discussions with a prominent Saudi conglomerate to introduce advanced parking services in Saudi Arabia, utilizing smart cameras and digital technologies for efficient parking management.
Additionally, Parkin announced a premium parking charge initiative in Dubai, set to launch in March 2025. The fee for premium parking spaces will be Dh6 per hour during peak hours (8am–10am and 4pm–8pm), while other paid parking areas will have a Dh4 per hour charge. Premium charges will apply to areas near metro stations, high-occupancy zones, and commercial hubs, with an increase during major events to manage parking demand effectively.
