The Dubai Land Department (DLD), in collaboration with the Dubai Club for People of Determination and the Dubai Sports Council, has established a real estate alliance to sponsor the ‘Fazza International Championships for People of Determination 2025.’

The championship, commencing on 1 February 2025, is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council and the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination in Dubai.

Real Estate Sector's Role in Community Development

The alliance includes six prominent real estate companies:

• Strategic Sponsor: HRE Real Estate Development
• Diamond Sponsors: Ellington Properties, Beyond Properties, Prescott Real Estate, Azizi Developments
• Gold Sponsor: Arista

This partnership underscores the private sector’s commitment to sustainable community development and fostering inclusivity. The initiative highlights the importance of public-private collaboration in empowering People of Determination and creating a supportive environment for their success.

A Comprehensive Global Sporting Event

This year’s championships feature four major tournaments with participation from over 2,100 athletes representing 70 countries:

• 16th Fazza International Para Athletics Grand Prix (1,000 athletes)
• 1st Fazza International Swimming Championship (500 athletes)
• 16th Fazza International Para-Badminton Championship (300 athletes)
• 9th Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament (300 athletes)

These tournaments aim to create an inclusive competitive environment while positioning Dubai as a leading global hub for sports and humanitarian efforts for People of Determination.

Leadership Commitment to Excellence

H.E. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of DLD, emphasized that the partnership reinforces Dubai’s leadership vision of inclusion and empowerment. He stated:
"Collaboration between public and private sectors is key to achieving sustainable development and fostering societal values of solidarity. The private sector’s active involvement demonstrates their commitment to Dubai’s status as a city supportive of People of Determination."

Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, and Majid Al Usaimi, Director of the Championships, praised the initiative, highlighting its role in promoting global values of perseverance and solidarity through sports.

The Fazza Championships have become a significant milestone for People of Determination, providing a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and qualify for the Paralympic Games.
