Dubai Courts Signs MoU with Dubai Chambers to Strengthen Commercial Dispute Resolution

Dubai Courts has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Chambers, aimed at solidifying the emirate's position as a global hub for commercial dispute resolution. The agreement is designed to boost mediation and conciliation processes, offering alternative channels for litigation in Dubai’s business sector.

Under the MoU, agreements approved through the Dubai Courts system will carry the authority of executive instruments, ensuring binding resolutions for all parties involved. The collaboration focuses on enhancing communication, sharing legal data, and improving dispute resolution services through digital transformation and innovation.

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts, emphasized that this partnership is a pivotal move in enhancing Dubai’s legal infrastructure, aligning with the emirate’s vision of becoming a leading global center for justice. He stressed that the agreement will contribute to the development of judicial mechanisms, providing swift and accurate services to meet the needs of Dubai’s business community.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, stated that the MoU is a strategic initiative to advance mediation services, promoting a more competitive and effective dispute resolution landscape in Dubai. The collaboration also supports Dubai’s digital economy strategy by utilizing electronic connectivity to settle disputes.

The efforts of both entities align with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the emirate's economy and enhance its standing as a global business hub over the next decade.
