As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and within its My Happiness initiative launched recently to raise the satisfaction level of its staff and customers, the Chamber has unveiled the Tawazun (Arabic for Balance) programme to raise awareness on the importance of establishing a culture of balance in the community in harmony with the dynamic economic development in Dubai.
According to Dubai Chamber, the Tawazun programme will work through three main pillars addressing the various segments of the society. The first pillar aims to promote a balance between social and professional life, while second pillar targets balance between real and digital life. The third pillar focuses on balance in work and business environment. The Chamber will activate the three pillars through a series of campaigns, activities and services in order to achieve the targeted balance in the community.
Commenting on the launch of the Tawazun programme, H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO,Dubai Chamber, said: In the framework of its commitment to achieving the objectives of Dubai Plan 2021, which stresses the importance of creating the social responsibility culture at the individual and institutional levels, Dubai Chamber launched My Happiness initiative aimed at raising the satisfaction levels among employees and customers. Today, Tawazun programme comes under the umbrella of this initiative, reflecting the Chambers efforts to spread happiness by establishing a culture of balance in the community.
The Tawazun programme will work to reduce the challenges and pressures in social and business life through awareness campaigns and workshops that enhance the value of balanced life among different segments of the society. The culture of balance is key to achieve success and build a positive society that can contribute to sustained economic growth and development, he added.
Also, the Tawazun programme is the outcome of several studies that highlighted a direct correlation between the amount of individual happiness and healthy relations within family and social life as well as the level of productivity and efficiency in career life. Through the Tawazun programme, the Chamber will introduce balance as an essential component in instilling a culture of innovation and creativity in workforce.
A series of events and activities will be launched to activate the three pillars of the programme that will include practical advice showcasing the best practices to help the individual to achieve a balance between professional and social responsibilities. The activities will also strengthen family communication and direct relationships with friends and families, avoiding dependence on social media. In addition, it will shed light on the art of management to provide high quality services to gain customer satisfaction without overloading the employees.
