Dubai Chamber headquarters extension on track for early 2021 finish.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has stated that 76% of development work on its headquarters extension has been completed, with the new state-of-the-art building on track to be ready by early 2021.

The first phase of the plan will see the building completed by the end of September 2020. When the second and final phase, solar panels and wind turbines will be placed, while a walker bridge connecting the extension with the main headquarters hotel will be built by mid-January 2021.

When finished, the five-storey building will traverse an area of 19,000 square metres and host 4,000 square metres of office space including trade promotion offices, shops, and building facilities restaurants, cafes, a state-of-the-art gym and smart parking amenities with a capacity of 330 cars.

A representation of sustainability, the world-class building is designed to meet LEED Platinum certification with over 40% of its power demands to be met by sustainable sources, a great move made by Dubai Chamber in line with Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050.

The development project supports Dubai Chambers efforts to meet the evolving needs of Dubais vibrant business community and improve the well-being and comfort of its employees, while it also appends to the organisations actions in green construction and sustainability.

After being the first present building in the region to achieve LEED certification in 2009, Dubai Chamber earned LEED Platinum Certification for its headquarters in 2014. The Chamber also spent AED 5.4 million in the University of Dubai, which in 2019 grew to be the first LEED-certified net-zero power building in the region.
