Digital Dubai Hosts Data and Statistics Partners Forum to Drive Data-Driven Innovation
Digital Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation, hosted the Dubai Data and Statistics Partners Forum under the theme “Together for a Data-Driven Future.” The forum brought together government officials, data leaders, and representatives from over 100 private sector companies to highlight the role of partnerships in advancing Dubai’s digital transformation goals.
The event showcased the corporation’s annual achievements, key initiatives, and future projects aimed at consolidating Dubai’s position as a global digital capital. Participants discussed strategies to enhance data reliability, transparency, and governance, emphasizing the pivotal role of artificial intelligence and data in decision-making and planning.
His Excellency Younis Al Nasser, CEO of the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation, underscored the importance of partnerships in shaping the future of Dubai’s digital journey. “Today, data and statistics are indispensable for achieving digital development and leveraging artificial intelligence. The Dubai model highlights the value of collaboration between government and private sectors to realize the shared vision of Dubai as a global digital capital supported by data,” he said.
Al Nasser added, “This forum reflects our appreciation for our partners and their contributions to our shared journey in the field of data and statistics. Together, we aim to build a comprehensive and integrated system for data exchange, enabling better decision-making and innovative solutions to various challenges.”
Afaf Bou Osaiba, Executive Director of the Data and Statistics Operations Sector, highlighted the success of joint projects with partners. “The progress achieved in cooperation with our partners underscores the vast potential of teamwork in enhancing Dubai’s strategic use of data and statistics. Together, we will continue driving qualitative transformations to position Dubai as a global leader in digital innovation.”
Sarah Al Zarooni, Director of Planning, Data Governance, and Statistics, emphasized the strategic importance of data. “Data is the backbone of decision-making and future strategy development. Our mission is to ensure data reliability, transparency, and governance, prioritizing privacy and fostering its use as an asset to shape impactful plans and generate economic and social value.”
The forum also featured a panel discussion with public and private sector representatives, addressing opportunities and challenges in data and statistics. The session explored innovative solutions and potential collaborations to enhance Dubai’s journey toward becoming a leading global digital city.
A video presentation showcased the outcomes of joint initiatives, followed by an overview of upcoming projects and strategies. The event concluded with a ceremony recognizing partners for their contributions to advancing data-driven projects in Dubai.
