Canons Frontiers of Innovation Forum 2020 to continue monthly following success.
The CanonFrontiers of Innovation Forum 2020onlinebroadcast series, which originated through the height of the pandemic and lockdown, will resume airing every month following its success and wide viewership. The group, which was launched on Canon EMEAs LinkedIn starting from April, crossed 3,000 views per session across nine sessions.
The Frontiers of Innovation 2020 weekly broadcast series purpose was to unite industry and sector specialists under one online program to support industry learning during the COVID-19 crisis. Discussing key evolving trends and the result of the pandemic on people and economies, the online series explored how various sectors were preparing themselves for the post-COVID-19 recovery phase and how current business strategies and services will be adjusted.
Anurag Agarwal, Managing Director, Canon Middle East and Turkey, said: As we prepared to launch the third edition of Frontiers of Innovation online, we were uncertain of the feedback, but we knew that we required to promote new areas of collaboration and keep the channels of conversation open with other businesses and business experts. It was immediately evident that the group was a uniting platform for all to communicate, and gain insights and new education into critical issues that will change and reshape future activities as we develop from an abnormal condition.
The series also complements GCC governments strategies to develop cultures of innovation, and Canon is actively supporting public and private sectors as they endeavour to find innovative solutions to the new ways of working that are currently being realised, added Agarwal.
Frontiers of Innovation started in 2016 as a conference to drive discovery and ideas, gain insights and expertise, and generate solutions. The first edition considered big data and the Internet of Things; and the following edition focused on cybersecurity, entrepreneurship and smart cities both numbers were held as in-presence events over one day.
Moving online every week started up the principles to engage with everyone from business stakeholders to the global public more regularly and in-depth. Various conversation topics were tackled in the first few weeks alone and an abundance of insights and trends were admitted to promoting the restructuring and improvement tactics for a variety of industries.
Moderated by Etithne Treanor, Founder & CEO, E Treanor Media, some of the issues that were reported include The effect of Covid-19 on digital conversion; cybersecurity at home; the future of education; coordination in the workforce; the future of communication; sustainability and energy consumption; photography and filmmaking trends during and post COVID-19; and the prospect of work.
