Canon EMEA appoints Peter Saak to lead integrated printing and services group
Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has announced the appointment of Peter Saak as Chief of the Integrated Printing & Services Group (IPSG), formerly known as Digital Printing & Solutions, effective from the beginning of 2026.
Saak brings extensive leadership experience and deep B2B customer expertise to the role, having held several senior positions across Canon’s regional sales organisations. His previous roles include B2B Country Director for Canon Eurasia, Managing Director for Canon Central & Eastern Europe, and Managing Director of Canon Austria. Most recently, as Executive Vice President of the Developing Regions Business Group, he led growth initiatives and strengthened Canon’s number one market share position across B2B product segments in Southeast Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a strong focus on customer acquisition and partner channel development.
In his new role, Saak will be responsible for driving the strategic integration of Canon’s advanced printing technologies with value-added services. The objective is to deliver fully connected, efficient print and document management ecosystems for customers and partners, while also accelerating innovation and expanding Canon’s channel presence into new markets.
The appointment follows the return of Hiro Imamura, former Executive Vice President of Digital Printing & Solutions, to Canon Inc.’s global headquarters, where he has taken up a new role within the Printing Group. During his five-year tenure at Canon EMEA, Imamura played a key role in growing the company’s market share in workspace printing technologies and solutions, as well as expanding its production print business.
Sam Yoshida, President and CEO of Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “I am confident that Peter’s extensive B2B experience, strong customer insight and leadership across many of our EMEA markets will drive the continued success of our Integrated Printing & Services Group. I would also like to thank Hiro for his outstanding leadership and the pivotal role he played in strengthening our printing business.”
Commenting on his appointment, Saak said: “I am honoured to lead the newly renamed Integrated Printing & Services Group. We will build on the strong foundation already in place, continuing to combine Canon’s innovative technology with solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners. I look forward to working with the team to drive future growth and reinforce our position as a market leader.”
